These beautifully hand carved nalbinding needles have been made especially to help with our fundraising.
The ancient craft of nalbinding pre dates the yarn crafts, such as knitting and crochet, that you see today. Similar to knitting, nalbinding uses 1 needle, rather than 2, looping the yarn around the thumb to create stitches.
Each needle measures between 7 - 9 cms in length and 1 - 1.5cms in width, similar to the ones shown in the picture. Made from natures discards, each has a large eye making them suitable for working with thicker yarn.
This tool is also useful for tapestry weaving, or other types of yarn-work. Can also be used to ease out the corners of sewing projects.
Please note, this listing is for 1 nalbinding needle similar to the ones listed in the images. Free UK P&P.
