Our yarns are hand dyed with natural botanical materials. Siskin has been handspun by us and is plyed using the Navajo techique to give a DK like weight with some variability in strand width. It has been dyed using coltsfoot flowers and overdyed with willow stems, giving muted yellow tones that remind us of the colouring seen in the Siskin bird. This yarn is durable and easy to handle with a textured feel and can be worn next to the skin.
Our yarns are colourfast and have been throughly rinsed after they have been dyed.
