Swan: Pure Alpaca DK

This undyed yarn reminds us of the colouring seen in swans. The yarn has a super soft feel with an excellent drape when knitted, and can be comfortably worn next to the skin.

• 100% Alpaca wool
• Double knit
• Approx 47metre/50yards per 20g
• Recommended needle size 3.75 - 4.5mm
• Knit gauge per 10cm (4 inches) 22 stitches
• Hand wash only using tepid water and gentle soaps and lay flat to dry

About this wool: This yarn has been sourced locally from Little Markfield Farm from Eddie the alpaca (see picture above).  The yarn has been professionally milled and spun to DK weight which is slightly thinner than DK wool.  Alpaca yarn has minimal levels of lanolin and is therefore favorable to people who are allergic to sheep wool.
